NBSTSA says the CST exam is a 4-hour computer-based exam with 175 multiple-choice questions, of which 150 are scored, and a passing result requires 98 scored questions correct. NBSTSA also breaks the exam into Perioperative Care, Ancillary Duties, and Basic Science.
